Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification— What is expected in certification?

I was thinking of preparing for GCP Cloud Architect certification; there are several reasons for it, which we can touch on in another post. In this post, I will attempt to breakdown what this certification aims to test on. The Professional Cloud Architect certification is aimed to validate if the candidate possesses a thorough understanding of cloud architecture and Google Cloud Platform, which he can leverage to design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives.

To attempt for this certification and justify its value, the first thing we have to do is understand the High-level concept of cloud architecture and the services that Google offers to fulfill the needs of the cloud. And then use those building blocks to design a robust (tolerate hardware/software failure), scalable (horizontally to meet the need of expanding/diminishing demand), highly available ( rack failure, natural disaster), secure and dynamic solution to achieve the business needs.

Now with this high level of understanding, the next question is how to start preparing for it? In my upcoming posts, I will try to capture my journey, hoping that it can help the readers who are kind enough to read my posts. Stay tuned for the update.

Update: Are you excited? To explore further, check out the next step in my post.
